Does global warming affect insects?

Global warming affects everything on Earth.  Therefore, nothing would be completely unaffected by it.  The main effect that has been observed with insects as far as global warming is concerned is population increase.  Insects generally thrive in warmer climates, so increased temperature could cause their populations to grow.  However, this presents a problem for food supply, which could cause a chain reaction that could affect every living thing on Earth badly.  More information can be found at the link below.
