Does genetics have anything to do with diseases?

    Yes, genetics plays a large role in disease. They can make people more predisposed to addiction, heart disease, obesity, diabetes as well as certain types of cancers. Genetics also can leave susceptible to stress related mental illnesses and plays a large role with how we deal with stress. Finally, we can change which genes are expressed in our bodies through how we eat, through meditation and exercise as well.
