Does formaldehyde damage the environment?

    Formaldehyde is a chemical that is commonly used, but highly dangerous.  It can be found in cosmetics, perfumes, construction products, air fresheners, carpeting, paint, and many other products.  It is a carcinogenic and can cause allergic reactions to those in contact with it.  It releases harmful gases into the air that can have many implications.
