Yes, the above link has an interactive map where you can click on a state and see which endangered species make a home in that state. Though some states do not have very many (I believe North Dakota and Iowa are only home to 8), there are other states that have a lot (California has 111).
Yes, every state does have endangered species. I have attached a link that lists the endangered species per state. The United States Endangered Species Act was created in 1973. In order for a species to be protected by the ESA it must go through a petition process.
