Does an electric vehicle handle better on hills than a conventional gas-powered car?

I don’t know. I haven’t driven one. But the electric gearing should provide more torque so it should be easier to accelerate up the hill. Also, the gearing on an electric vehicle is a lot different. For instance, the Tesla Roadster uses a single gear to hit 60MPH, so you wouldn’t need to shift up or down on on a hill, which should make handling easier.
