Does the DOE give more money to car companies than energy companies?

After extensive comparison of the DOE’s budget requests and expenditure reports from 2009, I am forced to conclude that the DOE has spent almost 3 million more dollars on their Vehicle Technologies program than on all of their energy corporation subsisdes combined, to a cost of $4,745,760 in total expenditure towards energy intitiaves, versus $7,510,000 towards the vehcile technology program. If you feel like verifying these repsonses, I have included links to PDF’s detailing the DOE budget reports for 2009. They’re a bit of a crawl, but there is a lot of good information there.

    I hope this helps!
