Does the DOE do a good job of regulating pollution?

This question unfortunately does not have an easy answer.  There is a great book written by J. Clarence Davies and Jan Manzurek titled Regulating Pollution: Does the U.S. System Really Work?  This book explains the full involvement of the department of energy, and all of the efforts/setbacks/shortcomings entwined in the DOE’s world.  The first citation is the actually book itself as a digital read.  The second is a link to purchase the book online, if that is preferred.
