Koolaid hurts the environment in the same ways that most other human products do. Koolaid’s ingredients must be grown or manufactured, which usually entails heavy use of water and energy. Similarly, packaging and transporting the drink to where it will be consumed requires energy. In general, this energy is derived from coal or natural gas, dirty fuels that result in greenhouse gas emissions. These emissions contribute to global warming, an enormous environmental threat.
