They do have some of the same nutrients but in different quantities. For example, coconut milk has a higher fat content than raw cow’s milk while raw cow’s milk has a higher cholesterol value. Cow’s milk has more calcium and vitamin A while coconut milk has more vitamin C and iron. It is important to note that the two comparisons have been made from raw coconut milk in it’s purest form as well as raw cow’s milk… the variety that most Americans do not drink. Comparing “regular” milk would be a whole different story as it varies according to how it has been pasteurized, if anything has been added and the “fat” percentage (whole, skim, 1%, 2%).
