Yes. Since climate effects the growth of plants and populations of insects, a bats direct food source is also dependant on climate. Certain species of bats are also extremely sensitive to the climate and are very vulnerable to extreme temperatures. One instance of this occurred in Australia many years back where temperatures soared during an especially bad heat wave. Tragically, tens of thousands of bats died due to the extreme heat.
