According to their website, it is going successfully so far, but it is an ongoing process that is not expected to be completed until 2020. The final goal is to have the entire City become energy-independant by building efficient, workable solar panels. which is very ambitious, but there is nothing to suggest it will not work at this point. The one worrisome sign is that their program’s website hasn’t been updated since July 2009, when 233 solar sites were producing 1000 kW of energy. But they are only part of the overall project, which is still on track.
