Strangely, China has only recently started investing in the most reaosnable market for them to own solar power in: China itself. Despite the fact that 95% of the solar panels made in China are exported, the fact remains that they are the world’s leading manufacturer, and feel it would be beneficial to incease their production. And recently, they have set the ambitious targets of adding 260mws of solar power, through at least 10 solar farms, as part of an overall push to increase their renewable energy use fom 1.5% to 6%, and begin the slow process of weaning off coal.
I hope this helped!
