Does cardboard have recycling numbers like plastic?

The numbers around the recycling symbol on plastic products indentify the product’s resin category.  There are seven classifications or categories, so seven different numbers pertaining to how the plastic is made.  Three of the categories are safe, three are not safe, and one is safe but should not be reused.  Cardboard does not have these resin identification codes, or recycling numbers, as all cardboard is essentially made from the same materials (paper).
