Does carbon float up to our atmosphere?

Actually, while carbon dioxide is stored in three major sources on Earth (trees, the ocean, and the atmosphere), way more carbon dioxide is kept in the ocean and trees than in the atmosphere. Not much carbon gases added to the atmosphere by human activity doesn’t float up to be ultimately stored in the sky, but is instead absorbed by plant life on land or algae in the oceans that keeps most carbon gases closer to the planet’s surface.
