The total population of the Asian continent is 4,052 million. The population of Africa is 967 million people.
Asia would consume more water per day based solely on their overwhelmingly larger population.
As a whole, Asia has more access to and thus uses more water than Africa. However, Africa has a pretty severe water crisis, and if it could use all the water that it truly needs, it’s projected that it could use up to 1.5 times the amount of water currently used by the Asian continent.
