Most raw foodists eat a diet with a pretty high alkaline content. This includes foods like lemon, sweet potato, figs, and seaweed. It is said that a diet that is high in alkalinity is more complementary to the body’s ph balance. This way of eating is in complete contrast with the standard american diet, which includes foods that are highly acidic. I personally made the transition to raw foods six months ago and feel much healthier; I’ve lost alot of unecessary weight, have a better general understanding about food, and would recommend this lifestyle to anyone.
