Larger animals generally take more time to decompose because their bones are denser and larger than those of smaller animals. Rhinos are generally larger than hippos, weighing 3-4 tons, while hippos only weight up to 2.5 tons. Their larger bone structure, as well as their horns would likely take more time to decompose than the bones of a hippo.
