Does the government in Africa ever set fires like our forestry department does?

    Generally no. African governments are in a lot of turmoil these days, and in some of the geographic terrain they live in it’s not really necessary.

    However, as the previous poster mentioned, some countries like South Africa, which are slightly more well-off, will do that sort of thing. I imagine that when it occurs, it’s probably more likely to be done by individuals in the poorer countries though.
