Do you think we will ever get rid of coal fired power plants?

Not until coal resources are depleted and we find it more costly to mine coal than the amount of energy we can get from it. Coal is a cheap energy source, which makes it appealing to many nations, especially developing nations. However, developing nations are not the only ones who use coal. Currently, the U.S. gets 54% of its energy from coal. Until coal is no longer viable as a fuel source, I think we will continue to see the use of coal for energy for generations to come.
