When you use the blue bag recycling they still ask that you separate all of your items by clean paper, metals, glass, plastics and yard waste. Blue bags maybe more effective then traditional recycling, just because of the simplicity of the process. To partake in the blue bag recycling process all you need to do is (if you live in an area participating in the blue bag program) buy a blue bag from your grocery or hardware store, then fill the bags up with recycled items (and separate them), then take the bags out with the trash and toss them into their bin.
