I do not think so. It is not a sustainable practice, and cannot last forever. As much as I am for protecting the rain forest, there is a point where we cannot interfere anymore. It is Ecuador’s land, and they have a right to do with it what they please. We should sure suggest to them that they take care of their land, but there is only so much we can do before it is in the people of Ecuador’s hands, and I do not think paying them is the way to go. They have to want to preserve the rain forest, not just be told they have to.
