Do you think that in our lifetimes we will see the elephant become extinct?

    While there a number of reserves and zoos with elephant populations which could ensure that they don’t ever go entirely extinct, it does seem entirely possible that the elephant population could drop periously low. In the past few decades the population has declined from 1.3 million to around half a million due to poaching and loss of habitats because of human encroachment or drought.
