I certainly hope so. I want LEDs to surpass CFLs because CFLs have shown to pose major health risks. I have attached an article about the dangers of CFLs. I think that the industry should be informed of these risks in order to keep CFLs off of the market and promote the non-toxic LED lighting option.
LEDs are made with arsenic, gallium, phosphorus, and sometimes selenium, indium, zinc, aluminum, and silicon.
