Do you think that LED lights could realistically replace the CFL?

Yes.  Eventually, as their prices come down because demand increases, they could realistically replace CFL bulbs.

Even now, because LED bulbs last up to 10 times longer than CFL bulbs, they may be cheaper than CFLs over the course of the bulb’s lifetime.  LED bulbs also use about 20% less energy than CFLs.

Recently, Cambridge University came up with an LED bulb that could retail for about $3.  That’s an incredible improvement, so the future looks very good for LED bulbs.
