Do you think it is more cost affective to build hydrogen cars or electric cars?

Based on the price for the car, I’d say that the hydrogen car is currently more expensive to build.  The Honda Clarity (hydrogen, not yet available) is estimated to be $300,000 whereas the Nissan Leaf (electric) will cost $32,780 before tax savings.

Also, my boyfriend, who works in the electric vehicle industry (so I suppose is biased) says that a hydrogen car is essentially an electric car with hydrogen fuel cells, which are currently quite expensive.  Therefore, he agrees that electric is less expensive.

Electric cars should be more accessible. The infrastructure to fuel hydrogen cars does not currently exist. While the United States has electricity everywhere.
