I believe it is very much possible. If it constructed precisely and doesn’t pose any threat to riders, it can be accomplished. However, the cost is also a factor in its development. Who is funding it and who is paying for it? I am not sure taxpayers will want to cash out the extra dollars for it. The cost to run the straddle bus won’t be cheap and is another aspect to consider.
It is all about the money. If it is affordable and easy to implement the straddle bus to roadways then yes I do think it will catch on, it looks neat and is very inventive. It would allow Americans to still drive and take public transportation.
