I think that they should be cut. If ethanol is really the miracle solution that people say it is, then we should be able to get ethanol cars without subsidies. Personally, I think that waste vegetable oil (WVO) is a much better biofuel than ethanol. Several people, including my uncle, have converted diesel cars to run on WVO without any subsidy from the government. Likewise, my dad converted his car to run on electricity without relying on government help. Ultimately, I think that people should use electric cars for most purposes and WVO for longer trips when necessary.
