Do you think biomass energy could ever replace coal energy?

Biomass has a great del of potential, but so does wind and solar and even tidal energy. There is no one source that will replace coal, but instead an array of renewable sources that are both sustainable and dependable. Diversifying our energy base to include wind, tidal, hydroelectric, geothermal and other renewal energy sources will not only help the environment, but it will also mean that our energy resources will be more secure from attack or natural disaster. This is well within our reach today, but requires large scale investment in these growing technologies.
