Yes. Certainly. And that would be a good thing. As technology and innovation improve some competitor is sure to offer a superior product at a better price. That would result in more sales of hybrids which would then, of course, mean reduced carbon emissions.
I think it’s possible, as more car manufacturers start making hybrid cars, and improving existing models. As it is, there’s not really much competition on the market, and no other car close to getting the gas mileage that the Prius does. I think over time the hybrid market will become more competitive, especially as people try to find ways to save money on gas.
