Technically, no. But what we are trading in efficiency we are trying to make up for in democracy. A well run dictatorship is the most efficient govenrment, but ours wasn’d designed that way (thankfully!), and the attempts to create bipartisan support, while costing us time, are at least staying true to our principles.

No definitely not. Even the most liberal politicians like Obama are conservative on the environment. Large corporations have too much influence over these politicians and therefore force them to be much more conservative. It is deeply saddening that many citizens, both Republicans and Democrats are for helping the environment and passing a bill and the politicians won’t listen to us. i guess that is the name of the game.
