Do you think that Africa’s commercialized hunting is helping protect animals from poaching or encouraging it?

I believe that Africa’s commercialized hunting is discouraging poaching.  Typically, poaching is committed in order to make money but you have to pay thousands of dollars to commercially hunt in Africa.  Illegal poaching is being cracked down on, particularly because it will cut down on the profits of the commercial hunting business.  Also, just as hunting is controlled in the United States, commercial hunting in Africa allows hunters to be monitored and regulated.  This ensures that endangered species are preserved, and female/young animals are allowed to live on and reproduce.
