Not in every family. It is a good way to save paper, but it’s nice to be able to hold on to a paper card or hang it on the wall around the holidays. Also, be considerate of the elderly; they aren’t as good with computers and probably prefer a paper card because they don’t get much mail anyway. There is a possibility of e-cards being predominant in our society, but it wouldn’t happen for a while.
I think paper will also be around, because there are many ways of making paper besides trees. Hemp produces a pulp that’s easily made into paper, and it’s sustainable. There will probably be a definite increase in e-greetings, however.
