Do you need to plant two cherry trees for pollination or will a cherry tree self-pollinate?

It all depends on the type of cherry you want to grow. Known as self-fruitful trees, the following types of cherry trees do not need a 2nd tree to grow fruit: all sour varieties, Index, Lapins, Skeena, Sweetheart, WhiteGold, Sonata, Stella, Symphony, Sunburst, and BlackGold
