Yes. Wind turbines need a lot of space and air to be efficient. For one single turbine this isn’t such a problem. But for a wind farm, each turbine has to be placed far enough from the other to generate power. Because they are too close together they steal the wind from each other, making them inefficient.
To have just one on your property is not a problem, but for several, that’s another issue. If you’ve ever driven past wind farms such as in Palm Desert, you will notice how much space is between the turbines and how much empty space surrounds the farm itself. And even after all this, it takes a good day with a lot of wind to make it more efficient.
