Do you need to drink as much water if you live in a humid climate?

I would say yes and possibly drink even more water.  Humid climates are usually warm climates which means you are likely to sweat more.  So while the surrounding air may be full of moisture, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s being transferred to you.  And as long as it’s water you’re drinking, you really can’t go wrong!

The recommended daily allowance for water is to drink at least eight 8-oz glasses of water a day.  A good general rule of thumb is to replace the water that you lose each day.  An average person loses about 1.5 liters a day, plus additional water loss for sweating, breathing, urinating, and more.  Humid climates can cause people to sweat even more, especially in higher temperaturs, so its not necessarily the best idea to drink less water in this type of weather.
