Do you need a chemistry degree to become a pharmacist?

Though chemistry is part of pharmacy, there are actually straight forward pharmaceutical degrees.

First, you need to have some sort of bachelor degree in science – so chemistry is fine (bio/biochem would work as well). Then after you graduate you have – or near the end of your undergrad career – you must get a good score on the MCAT and good letters of recommendation. Then you can go to graduate school under a premed program. The hard work is getting in, then it becomes harder to stay in. Or so my friends tell me.
