All living things do perfectly fine with inhaling air that is about 20% oxygen. Though it seems like breathing air with 100% oxygen is good, it is not because of physiology of our respiratory system. Oxygen molecules are highly reactive, therefore intense exposure to them can be damaging to your cells. The exchange of oxygen and other gases between the lungs and blood slows down, therefore you will need to breathe harder. Fluids accumulate in your lungs. These effects also depend on the atmosphere pressure.
