Do you have to dig real deep for geothermal energy?

Geothermal energy can be found at different depths, depending on the location. For example, in Yellowstone National Park, geothermal energy rises to the surface at Old Faithful, as well as at other locations nearby. There are even signs around the park warning visitors to not walk in some locations, because the ground can become quite hot.
