Good question, aggg. We breathe out the same amount of volume we breathe in, but the amount of chemicals before adn after we breathe change. When we breathe in, the air is roughly 78% by volume nitrogen, 21% oxygen, with some other small amounts of things in there, too. When we breathe out, however, there is about 4-5% less oxygen, and about 4-5% carbon dioxide.
