Woodchucks are similar to squirrels in that they have become a garden pest. They can most often be found in your vegetable garden and are fairly large animals who are related to the squirrel family. They are usually a herbaceous creature eating a variety of foods such as lettuce, spinach, corn, green beans, peas, squash, and cucumbers. While not in your veggie garden, they will eat Clovers, grasses, dandelions, goldenrods, and alfalfa. They will even snack on certain shrubs and trees during the Spring. During the summer, they will add fruits, especially raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, cherries, and apples to their diet.
