Do we use sharks for medicine?

    Yes – we use cartilage from their fins.  Although not completely backed by research as of yet, this cartilage is believed to posess anti-angiogenic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidantal properties.  The cartilage is manufactured into a supplement form that can then be taken orally.  It is used more commonly in Asia.
