It appears that some institutions(if not the U.S. Government) are rewarding healthy eaters, like IBM, which gives its workers money if they and their children develop healthy eating habits. However, on the whole, since healthy, fresh food usually costs considerably more than processed or fast food and is more difficult to obtain, healthy-eating families can be seen as often being punished for eating the right thing.
Not exactly the same thing, but there have recently been a number of campaigns for a “junk food tax.” This wouldn’t exactly reward healthy eaters, but would punish (or at least discourage) unhealthy food.
