The EV manufacturing industry has huge potential to help spark the US green economy. For this reason, the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act has earmarked $2.4 billion for the advancement of advanced battery systems. 48 awards have been granted by the Department of Energy to those applying for federal money in an effort to improve their operations. In addition, companies from overseas (Think, for example) are now considering opening US facilities as well to compete in the emerging EV market and helping to sustain growth of the industry and help our economy.
