Do we have rainforest tribes help us with research ever?

Indigenous peoples have protected rainforests for generations, and while they may not have been asked to participate in research in the past, it is becoming clear that their input is quite valuable. This study asserts that indigenous peoples have been better conservationists than governments or industry. Hopefully, more indigenous input will be welcomed into the research community.
