We do not have to drill for all types of fuel that we put into our cars, depending on what type of fuel your car requires. For your basic gasoline, drilling is necessary for the crude oil that is converted into gas. However, there are some cars that run on ethanol, which is most commonly made from corn or other vegetation. There are also hydrogren cell fuel that is produced by isolating the hydrogen from the oxygen in a water molecule, although this process is not an easy one. In essence, there are a few other types of fuel that don’t require drilling, and we hope to investigate more in the future.
