Do we have any osmotic power plants in use in America right now?

No, there are not currently any osmotic power plants operating in the U.S. The world’s first osmotic power plant was opened in Norway and has been in operation for a year. As is often the case with new technology the endeavor was expensive, but years of European research were a good investment into this viable and clean energy source. America could afford to investigate the technology’s possibilities, using Norway’s success as an example.
