Do we have the agricultural infrastructure in place to have our food grown locally in the United States?

We absolutely do not have the proper infrastructure! During the industrial revolution beginning in the 19th century, people began moving into the city more and more- so much that there is probably not enough fields and land to grow food necessary to feed a large city; the land is being occupied by houses and forming suburbs.
