There are two types of plasma, one being the state of matter where the particles are energized past the gaseous state; and blood plasma being the fluid the blood cells flow in. The latter type of plasma is natural as it is in our bodies. Plasma as the state of matter occurs naturally in stars like the sun, otherwise it is not generally naturally occuring on earth. Humans have created plasma artificially by running electricity through excitable gas, and this is done in neon lights and fluorescent bulbs most commonly. There are also plasma cutters which can cut through metal easily and lasers that use plasma as a fuel source for the beam.
