The majority of salmon eaten in the United States is farm-raised. While the majority of fish is not farmed in the U.S., much of its is consumed here. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization, a little more than half of all seafood consumed is farm-raised. Salmon and shrimp are  the two most farmed, and are also the top two most consumed in the U.S.
