It will have two modified genes, resulting in the fish growing twice as fast as normal. The company trying to get the product approved for sale is AquaBounty Technologies. This NPR Article has a great interview regarding the topic. Scientist Anne Kapuscinski, reveals that the FDA may not even require the company to label their product as GMO.
